Can't edit posts
I have been discovering errors (spelling, inaccuracies, etc.) in my posts and I would like to fix them, but I can't find any way to edit my posts once they have been put up. Is editing not possible in this message board, or am I missing something? If it is possible, how do I go about it?

Re: Can't edit posts

I hadn't yet realized that when I moved this site to a new web host this would happen, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

If I don't have this fixed this evening, it will be before Sunday. Sorry, I don't have time at the moment because I don't remember what I have to do to enable this functionality. As soon as I do, I will post here.

Thank you for your patience!

Re: Can't edit posts

Okay - I think this should be taken care of now, please let me know if it worked or not. This was enabled for some users (those that have been with us a long time) but not anyone relatively new. From now on, any new users should automatically be able to edit their own posts.

It's been working for me, but I guess we really won't know until someone new joins and tries to edit their posts. That is, unless you just created a new TestUser.

Well, I changed the way the database sets the default so that any new users should be able to edit posts out of the box - I am hopeful that we will not see this problem again, but anything is possible if and when I upgrade things. There is a new version of this forum software available, and I would like to upgrade soon; we will see if I really get the time to do it!
